Wolverhampton Wanderers will host Chelsea at Molineux on Wednesday night, however, they will be without a couple of key players for the visit, according to a match preview by Sky Sports.
Ruben Neves will be absent as he needs to serve a suspension, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo short of arguably his best player.
The Portuguese midfielder has been a revelation for Wolves since his arrival and has put in a number of outstanding performances that has seen him gain interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs recently.
However, the 21-year-old will miss the game against the Blues as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, triggering an automatic ban.
Wolves will also be without Jonny Otto as he continues his recovery on the sidelines.
The on-loan Atletico Madrid wing-back picked up a knee injury whilst on international duty last month.
Nuno’s side are currently on a bad run of form and have found results hard to come by in the Premier League, despite a fine start to the season.
Wolves have lost five of their last six matches, including against fellow promoted side Cardiff City in their previous fixture.
Nuno, who has insisted that his team do not lack any confidence, will need to see some improvement if they are to get a result against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
However, it would be worth bearing in mind that Wolves have held Manchester City at home already this season, whilst also holding Arsenal to a draw at the Emirates Stadium and Manchester United at Old Trafford.
