Wolverhampton Wanderers are due to play against Manchester City in a Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In 2019-20, Wolves have so far been unable to replicate the standards which they reached last season in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves side can however go into their clash against the Citizens full of confidence after they won their last two games in all competitions (against Besiktas in the Europa League and against Watford in the Premier League).
On paper, they have a side which can give City a competitive game if they manage to get the basics right and capitalise on errors which will be made by Pep Guardiola’s charges.
Wolves forward Diogo Jota is set to be unavailable for the game due to an ankle problem, according to a report which was published by Sky Sports.
However, apart from the unavailability of the forward, Nuno is set to have a full squad to call upon.
Wolves do not have a good away record against City in the league. The Citizens have won all five home Premier League games which they have played against the Molineux club.
Wolves have also been struggling away from home recently as they have won just one out of their last ten Premier League games which were played outside Molineux.
That victory game against Watford whom they defeated 2-1 back in April.
Wolves will need to look at improving their disciplinary record as they have picked up two red cards during their last two away Premier League games.
