Wolverhampton Wanderers continued their winning ways on Monday night when they beat Birmingham City 1-0 and fans were raving about one of their men on social media after the win.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men got their sixth Championship win in a row, pulling them further away from title rivals Cardiff City, whilst they go a further 10 points clear of Bristol City in third.

Wolves started the match brightly and found their winner just eight minutes into the match when Leo Bonatini who struck past David Stockdale after an error by the Birmingham defence.

The Molineux outfit dominated the match throughout and the score would have been higher if it was not for the Blues ‘keeper, however, Santo got the result his men were looking for.

The Wolves striker has been key to their efforts this season, having netted his 12th league goal of the campaign, however, he was not the one winning all the plaudits after the Second City derby.

Fans took to Twitter to praise the performance of Willy Boly, who had a strong showing in the heart of the defence.

The Wolves centre-back, who arrived in the summer on-loan from Porto, looked composed throughout the 90 minutes and did not give his opponents a chance to score.

The French defender has quickly become a fan favourite, as has Bonatini, and many of the Wolves faithful will be hoping that they can make him a permanent signing in the future.
