Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on two late signings on deadline day, with Sky Sports stating they are close to signing Bayern Munich midfielder Meritan Shabani and in negotiations with Reading to sign Danny Loader.
The Molineux outfit had an excellent first season back in the Premier League, qualifying for Europe and beating some of England’s top teams in the process.
Nuno Espirito Santo has not overly strengthened his Wolves squad this summer, with turning the loans of Leander Dendoncker and Raul Jimenez the main business so far.
While Patrick Cutrone has also been added from AC Milan, it appears that the Molinuex outfit could yet add more bodies to Nuno’s first-team contingent.
Shabani is highly rated in Germany but the reported Wolves target has struggled to break into the Bayern squad, given the world-class quality available to the Bundesliga champions.
Wolves have plenty of options in midfield and the 20-year-old would certainly have to bide his time before getting a chance in the first team.
The report states Shabani is on his way to England for a medical after the two clubs agreed a transfer fee.
Meanwhile, Wolves are believed to be in talks with Reading over Loader, who is being touted as a star of the future.
The England under-20 international could also join the Molineux outfit, adding an additional attacking option to Nuno’s squad.
