Wolves are going to be busy in the transfer window this summer, according to the club’s head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Premier League boss has revealed his plans to bring in quality additions to Molineux, as he aims to build on the success of last season.
“It’s obvious we have to bring (players in),” Wolves boss Nuno told Sky Sports News.
“There are a lot of things we have to have in consideration. We are only going to bring players that can add quality to the squad that we have and that’s why it requires time.”
Wolves have only conducted two signings in the current transfer window though, as Nuno has retained loan stars Raul Jiminez and Leander Dendoncker on permanent deals.
While they may have had a quiet start to the summer window, he is hopeful of adding a number of new players before the Premier League season kicks off.
“Sometimes things are not possible but I’m hopeful that we are going to bring players in,” Nuno continued.
“I hope that we make a good (deal). Not one, but a bunch of business.”
Last season, Nuno led Wolves to an incredible seventh placed finish in the Premier League, as his side became one of the surprise packages in a dramatic campaign.
Their fast-paced counter-attacking style allowed them to trouble some of the top flight’s best teams, with a brilliant record against the top six.
The Wolves squad that Nuno built for last season did an outstanding job, not only securing their future in the Premier League but also consolidating a place in the top half of the table.
He knows there is room for improvement though, and if they are to build on that success and maintain their position in the upper echelons of the top flight, quality additions will need to be made to the squad.
