West Ham United want to sign Sunderland centre-half Lamine Kone and will bid £15 million for the enforcer in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.
The Hammers have suffered a turgid start to the new season, with last term’s plucky resistance waning in 2016-17.

Slaven Bilic’s men have looked shaky at the back and the London Stadium outfit are expected to dip into the transfer market in the new year as a result.
West Ham sold James Tomkins in the summer without really replacing him and as such Kone has reportedly become a target.
The Sunderland centre-half was the subject of transfer interest from Everton over the summer but in the end the Black Cats refused to let the African defender leave.
The 27-year-old has started 11 Premier League games for David Moyes’ men this season and will be a crucial figure if the Wearside outfit are to avoid relegation this term.
As such, it remains to be seen whether Sunderland will consider selling Kone, with the Black Cats needing to keep their star men if they are to dodge the drop.
