West Ham United have reignited their interest in Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to The Times.
The Hammers wanted to sign the 27-year-old last summer but their £30 million bid was turned down by the Red Devils.
The Scotland international remained at Old Trafford and established himself as an important member of Erik ten Hag’s team in 2023-24.
He made 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and creating two assists in the process.
But McTominay’s contract at the club will expire in 2025 and United could cash in on him this summer.
West Ham have already brought in Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras but they are looking to add another midfielder before the transfer window closes on August 30.
The East Londoners have already sold Flynn Downes while Lucas Paqueta has also been linked with an exit.
McTominay is still young and has proven himself in the Premier League. He mainly plays in central midfield but can also be utilised as a defensive as well as an attacking midfielder.
The Irons parted company with David Moyes at the end of last campaign, and Julen Lopetegui is now at the helm of affairs at the London Stadium.
The Spanish boss has been trying to rebuild the squad to secure a European spot next season.
Under Moyes, they finished ninth in the Premier League last term.
