West Ham United are planning a sensational summer swoop for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to The Sun.

The 25-year-old is currently enjoying a season-long loan at Bournemouth and is out of contract at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

West Ham are prepared to offer Arsenal a fee of around £30 million to land their man whose future is uncertain at the Emirates.

Wilshere is not convinced that he will get enough playing time under manager Arsene Wenger and is thought to be considering his options.

The England international is renowned for his injury problems but is close to completing his first season in years without a major issue.

However, he has not made the Bournemouth starting XI in any of their last four Premier League encounters and is clearly coming to a crossroads in his career.

West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold have already signalled their intent to sign a huge player and Wilshere would seem to fit the bill in terms of giving fans the marquee name they have been calling out for.
