West Ham United are turning their attention to Red Bull Leipzig striker Timo Werner and will make the 21-year-old their top summer target, according to a journalist with a record of breaking transfer news.
Emanuele Giulianelli has stated on Twitter that the Hammers have the former Stuttgart centre forward in their sights and are willing to splash €25 million (£21.8 million) on him this summer.

West Ham had issues in the final third in 2016-17, with Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho both spending considerable spells on the sidelines through injury.
The Hammers are expected to be brave in the transfer market this summer and the London club has already secured the signing of Pablo Zabaleta.
A marque striker signing would get the West Ham fans excited ahead of the new campaign, especially after the club’s efforts to land a number nine of note failed 12 months ago.
With failed loanees Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri both having left the London Stadium, West Ham have a need for a new attacker and Werner would be an impressive addition.
The 21-year-old scored 21 Bundesliga goals in 2016-17 as RB Leipzig excelled in their first season in German football’s top tier, qualifying for the Champions League in the process.
With Werner’s current employers set to compete in Europe’s top tournament next season, West Ham will need to be very persuasive if the hotshot forward is to lead the Hammers’ line in 2017-18.
