West Ham United defender Reece Oxford could be set for a loan move to American side LA Galaxy, according to reports by Claret and Hugh.
The 20-year old has not featured for the Hammers since 2016, when he made two appearances in the Europa League before spending the rest of the season on loan with Reading.
Oxford’s breakthrough season for West Ham came during the 2015/16 campaign, when the defender made 12 appearances in Europe, the FA Cup and the Premier League.
The Hammers youngster enjoyed a loan spell with Borussia Monchengladbach last year, making 11 outings for the German side and looks set to be sent out on loan once again.
Oxford has also been subject to interest from Arsenal and Everton, according to The Mirror, and West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has starved the youngster of first-team opportunities.
With seemingly no future at the London Stadium, the defender will have to consider whether a move to America with LA Galaxy would be beneficial for his career.
The 20-year-old may opt for a move closer to home if he is to resurrect his career, and his chances of playing Premier League football may still be alive.
When Oxford made his top-flight debut in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the age of just 16 it looked like he had a bright future ahead, but it seems any future he has now lies away from West Ham.
