According to Italian website TuttoMercato Web, West Ham United are interested in a January loan deal for highly rated Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The 20-year-old has been at Stamford Bridge since his career started, making his first-team debut for the Blues on 10 December 2014, coming on as a substitute in a Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon.

The England under-21 international made his top-flight debut on 31 January 2015 against Manchester City but had to wait until 2 April 2016 for his first goal.

After impressing in Chelsea’s first team last season, Loftus-Cheek signed a new five-year contract in February.

Since then the player has seen his match time reduced partly due to injuries and the Englishman has only made two appearances under Antonio Conte this season, both in the League Cup.

Considering West Ham’s start to the season, a January loan move for Loftus-Cheek to bolster their attacking options could be the perfect fit for both parties as the youngster looks to get some playing time.

West Ham have made a poor start to the season since moving to the London Stadium and they currently lie in 17th place, just one point above the relegation zone, with three wins from their first 11 matches.

According to the Daily Star, Slaven Bilic is also interested in bringing back-up Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and out of favour midfielder Cesc Fabregas across London.

The keeper, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has only started three games under Antonio Conte in the League Cup and has been playing understudy to Thibaut Courtois so far this season. The 29-year-old was the first choice goalkeeper at Stoke City before moving to Chelsea in 2015.

With the Hammers inconsistent defensive performances, having a second goalkeeper with experience in the Premier League may prove useful to the London side.
