West Ham United were held to a 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town on Sunday in the FA Cup Third Round and fans were far from pleased with the performance of one of their midfield men.

The draw means the League One side, who currently sit second in the table, will travel to the London Stadium for a replay, making David Moyes’ side having an extra match during a busy period.

The Hammers are fortunate to be able to have a second chance of progressing to the next round of the tournament, as the Shrews dominated for the majority of the match.

West Ham were outplayed and will need to step up, otherwise, they will be wary of a potential shock exit, as the home side had plenty of opportunities to get the victory.

Moyes’ side will be thankful for Joe Hart after the England international goalkeeper continued to deny his former boyhood club, however, supporters took to Twitter to lament the performance of one of their other players.

Cheikhou Kouyate was given a chance to make an impression during the Cup clash, but he failed to show that he was deserving of the opportunity.

The Senegal international, who arrived at the Hammers when Sam Allardyce was in charge, has continued to look off-the-pace and showed another lazy performance on Sunday afternoon.

Fans were angry with Kouyate’s display, with some taking to Twitter criticising his attitude and would like to see him transferred during the January transfer window.
