West Ham United winger Sofiane Feghouli has completed a move to Turkish club Galatasaray, the Premier League club have confirmed on their official website.
It is understood that the 27-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Super Lig club for a fee of £4million.
The Algeria international left the Hammers after just one season having relocated from Spanish side Valencia as a free agent last summer.
Feghouli made 27 appearances for the Irons last season, scoring four goals and producing three assists in the process.
Despite his commendable efforts, the man who prefers to play on the right was often deprived of opportunities with in-form players such as Michail Antonio and rising star Edimilson Fernandes often picked ahead of him.
Feghouli’s signing was seen as something of a coup 12 months ago, but the African schemer failed to settle in London and was blighted by debilitating injuries over the last 12 months.
West Ham have since moved on, with Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez added to the club’s attacking weaponry over recent times.
Hammers fans seem to have mixed emotions with the news of the winger’s departure and have taken to twitter to express them.
Feghouli posted a farewell message thanking his supporters which was very well received amongst the Irons followers.
Thank you West Ham fans for the support this season and good luck everyone for the future. Always âš’@WestHamUtd

Many felt that the Algeria international was not given a proper chance to thrive and was under-appreciated by the East London side.

However, some fans see Feghouli’s departure as a step in the right direction.
With the 27-year-old failing to establish himself as a first team starter, Irons supporters feel the money made from selling the winger will be put to better use.
West Ham has been linked with Sporting Lisbon superstar William Carvalho and many believe that the sale of Feghouli has freed up wages for the highly-rated midfielder.

Feghouli gone and wages now free for Carvalho 🙌ðŸ»ðŸ‘€âš’

Selling both Snodgrass and Feghouli is amazing business. Frees up so many wages.
