West Ham United are set to announce the club record signing of Simone Zaza from Juventus today, according to Jack Sullivan.

The Hammers have been in the market for a new centre forward all summer and the need was highlighted after injuries to Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew.

Zaza is surplus to requirements at the Turin giants and has flown to London to complete the deal to join Slaven Bilic’s men.

As can be seen above, Sullivan has confirmed that the Italy international centre forward will initially join the London club on loan, with a £5 million fee.

From there the Hammers will pay Juventus €20 million and sign a five year contract if the striker plays a minimum number of games.

Zaza is strong, fast and has a good return of goals in Serie A and as such his arrival will be a major boost for West Ham.

As can be seen below, the Italian is already getting acquainted with West Ham supremo David Sullivan, with this image circulated on Twitter.
