West Bromwich Albion are ready to make a move for Watford striker Odion Ighalo, who will be allowed to leave Vicarage Road this month according to Sky Sports.
The Nigerian forward played a crucial role in keeping the Hornets in the Premier League last season and was prolific in front of goal in partnership with Troy Deeney.
Ighalo has struggled to replicate that form this season and could well find his first-team place under threat following Watford’s reported loan acquisition of AC Milan forward M’baye Niang.
West Brom are overly reliant on Salomon Rondon in the final third and Tony Pulis has been vocal in his desire to beef up the Baggies squad in the transfer market if possible.
Ighalo would be an exciting new arrival for the Hawthorns outfit, but it is believed that a number of Chinese teams are also in the market for the African hitman – which could make a deal difficult.
The 27-year-old hit 15 Premier League goals last season but has only registered once so far in 2016-17.
