West Bromwich Albion have the chance to go third in the Championship table on Tuesday evening when they host Nottingham Forest at The Hawthorns, and they could head into the contest with an unchanged side, according to BBC Sport.
The Baggies currently sit in fourth spot, but they will move above Sheffield United if they can see off Martin O’Neill’s men, and will be ideally placed to launch a charge for automatic promotion over the remaining 15 matches in the campaign.
Darren Moore’s men saw off Stoke City at the weekend so they will take on Forest full of confidence. West Brom have won just two of their last six outings in the league, and have suffered defeat in the FA Cup in recent times, so it is vital that they build on their victory at the Bet365 Stadium.
After the solid win against the Potters, the Baggies are expected to name an unchanged side for the match with the City Ground outfit, barring a late piece of injury or illness news.
Moore will have to lead West Brom into action without two key men in the form of Matt Phillips and James Morrison, both of whom missed the success at Stoke, and who are expected to be absent when Forest come to town.
Both players have ankle injuries and could be out until the weekend at the very least, and potentially a little longer than that as well.
The Baggies have lost their last two matches at The Hawthorns, having gone down to Middlesbrough in the Championship and Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup last week.
West Brom will be looking to avoid a third successive defeat in front of their own fans, with Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez’s goals likely to be vital to them achieving that, and getting their home campaign back on track.
