Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Darren Fletcher from West Bromwich Albion on a two-year deal.
The Scottish midfielder started his career at Manchester United in 1995 and stayed at Old Trafford for 20 years, graduating into their first team in 2003.

Fletcher then swapped the Red Devils for West Brom on a free transfer in 2015 and has now moved again, this time joining Mark Hughes’ Stoke on a two-year-deal.
Both sets of fans have taken to social media to express their views on the transfer, with most Baggies fans happy to see the midfielder leave despite him being their captain for the duration of his time at the club.
Fletcher never missed a Premier League game for West Brom, starting in a staggering 90 out of the 91 top-flight games he played for Tony Pulis.
Both sets of supporters seem to agree that the move is a sideways step in the 33-year-old’s career.
Here are some of the best tweets about the deal.
