Watford have set their sights on Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno, with the Express reporting that the Hornets are willing to part with £15 million to secure his services.
Since moving to Anfield in a £12 million deal back in 2014, the 25-year-old has enjoyed a mixed time on Merseyside and made just 18 appearances in all competitions last season, with manager Jurgen Klopp regularly opting to start with James Milner at left-back.

The recent arrival of defender Andrew Robertson from Hull City could push Moreno closer to the exit door, despite some impressive performances for the Reds during their pre-season friendlies.
Since taking over as Watford boss back in May, Marco Silva has made a number of signings to strengthen a side that ended last season perilously close to the relegation zone, finishing in 17th place, with just six points separating them and the drop.
The Hornets’ midfield has been improved with the arrival of Will Hughes from Derby County, and Tom Cleverley’s permanent move from Everton.
Highly-rated 22-year-old Nathaniel Chalobah has also made the move to Vicarage Road after leaving champions Chelsea in the hope of regular first-team football.
Silva arrived in English football back in January as something of an unknown quantity, taking over the reins from Mike Phelan at troubled Hull City, but ended the season with a glowing reputation, despite the Tigers’ relegation to the Championship.
He instilled a newfound belief in his side, making them hard to beat and was linked with the manager’s job at Portuguese giants Porto.
Instead, Silva decided to remain in the Premier League, and having had a full pre-season to work with the team and implement his ideas, Watford fans will be hoping that the upcoming campaign will be a world away from the dismal one they endured under Walter Mazzarri, last term.
The Hornets kick-off their campaign next Saturday lunchtime, when they welcome Klopp’s Liverpool to Vicarage Road.
