Watford are closing in on a potential loan deal for Liverpool striker Divock Origi and also are interested in Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi, according to The Mirror.
The Hornets have cashed-in on Brazilian attacker Richarlison and as such there is a void in the attacking areas of Javi Gracia’s squad.
Watford have the likes of Andre Gray and Troy Deeney in attacking areas, but another centre forward to provide menace in the final third would surely be welcomed by the Vicarage Road faithful.
Origi is surplus to requirements at Liverpool and the report suggests Jurgen Klopp’s men want to sell the Belgium international for a fee in the region of £26 million – something the Hornets have baulked at.
However, Watford are pushing for a loan deal for the Reds forward, which could well suit all parties.
Batshuayi meanwhile looks likely to leave Chelsea this summer after spending the second half of last year on loan at Borussia Dortmund and the Vicarage Road side are seemingly interested.
That said, Watford will reportedly face competition from Spanish side Valencia for the striker, which could complicate matters.
Hornets fans will hope for a competitive Premier League campaign in 2018-19 and saw their side beat Brentford 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
