Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has boasted about the performance of Pablo Hernandez and said that the attacker has abilities which are hard to find following the club’s 3-0 victory against Reading on Tuesday.
The Spanish playmaker notched a brace during the game and the victory against the Royals means that the Whites have now won three consecutive games in the Championship after some poor form by their standards between January and February.
Tuesday’s result leaves Leeds in second position on the second-tier standings and they are on course to win promotion to the English top-flight for the first time since 2004.
Hernandez has been an important player for Bielsa’s side and is also very composed as a seasoned campaigner within the starting XI.
He has so far played 24 times in the Championship this season and found the back of the net seven times for Leeds.
Hernandez will continue to play a key role for the Yorkshire giants between now and the end of the season as they look to secure automatic promotion.
“Pablo finds solutions above the technical skills he has,” Bielsa told Leeds Live.
“He has the capacity to read the moments of the game and when he reads these moments he puts the ball in convenient spaces.
“It’s something very hard to teach and it’s something very hard to learn. On this aspect, Pablo is a very wise player.”
Next up for Leeds is a tough game against Sheffield United on Saturday. The game promises to be a tough one as the Blades have been a good form this season and are contenders to win automatic promotion to the top-flight.
Chris Wilder’s side are currently in third position on the Championship standings with 71 points from 37 matches.
They will go all-out to win the game as a win will see them leapfrog Bielsa’s Leeds side. It will be important for Hernandez to be at his best if Leeds are to come away from the game with three points.
