Key Tottenham Hotspur duo Kyle Walker and Victor Wanyama will all be assessed ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Southampton at White Hart Lane but Mousa Dembele will play, the club’s official website has confirmed.
The North London side are hoping to record another victory to keep the team’s chances of Champions League qualification alive against Mauricio Pochettino’s former club.
While Harry Kane and long-term absentees Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are on the sidelines for the clash with Southampton, Spurs also have concerns over a number of other players.
Walker is said to have picked up a minor ankle knock and should he not be fit to play would surely be replaced by the hard-working Kieran Trippier.
Wanyama is also set to be assessed ahead of the clash, with the impressive Kenyan hurting his neck against Millwall.
The African battler will be keen to play against his former employers and has been an excellent player for Spurs this season.
In more positive news, Dembele has overcome an ankle injury that ruled him out of the Millwall clash and will be available to be selected for the visit of the Saints.
