Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to offer €19 million (£17 million) as well as flop Vincent Janssen to Fenerbahce in order to sign Elif Elmas, according to a report published by Turkish outlet Fotomac.
Janssen has been an utter flop since his arrival at Spurs during the summer of 2016 and has barely played during the past two years.
The Netherlands international made just three Premier League appearances during the past season and failed to score for Tottenham.
Fener may be willing to take on the Dutchman again after he spent time with them on loan from Spurs during the 2017/18 campaign.
Offloading him will work in Tottenham’s favour as well. Spurs will be looking to free up space within their squad this summer in order to build a more competitive side ahead of next season.
Elmas joined Fenerbahce in 2017 from boyhood club Rabotnicki and has impressed for the Istanbul giants.
Elmas is one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the Super Lig and it is perhaps just a matter of time before he joins a club from one of Europe’s top five leagues.
At just 19-years-old, he has a bright future ahead of him and is a player who could shine under the guidance of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
If Elmas joins the Lilywhites, Spurs should aim to loan him out to a club where he will receive regular game time before being integrated into the Tottenham first-team set-up.
