Tottenham Hotspur will assess the fitness of Son Heung-min ahead of Saturday’s clash with Newcastle United, according to BBC Sport.
The Spurs midfielder made a goal scoring return during midweek, following his participation in the Asian Cup.
Son limped off in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over Watford, as he pulled up with cramp following a busy schedule.
Spurs are also still without their talisman Harry Kane, as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Mauricio Pochettino is also without Ben Davies and Dele Alli for the visit of Newcastle, however Vincent Janssen will be in contention after being added to Tottenham’s Premier League squad.
Spurs will be looking to pick up a fourth consecutive victory in this fixture, something they last did between 2004 and 2005.
Tottenham are also on the brink of setting a new record, as they could go 29 consecutive games without drawing a top flight league fixture.
Spurs are still chasing their first Premier League title, and made ground on the league leaders during midweek.
Without Kane they lack an out and out goal scorer, but Tottenham will be hoping Fernando Llorente’s goal in midweek can signal the start of a prolific run.
Newcastle will be buoyed by their victory over Champions Manchester City, and Tottenham will have to be at their best to pick up the win.
