Tottenham Hotspur will host Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night when the two teams meet for a place in the League Cup final.

Spurs will want to replicate their performance against the Blues in the Premier League earlier in the season and take a positive advantage to Stamford Bridge ahead of the second leg.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been in red-hot form as of late, despite a minor blip against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and have not struggled to find the net.

Tottenham put seven past Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup on Friday night as they prepare for the visit of Chelsea.

However, according to the club’s official website, it would appear that Pochettino may have been handed a huge blow to their chances of getting a positive result.

Lucas Moura has been ruled out of the League Cup semi-final with a knee injury.

The Brazil international picked up the knock during their rout over the League Two outfit on Friday and will be assessed ahead of their Premier League encounter with Manchester United at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Mousa Dembele is set to sit out the clash as the veteran midfielder closes in on a move to Chinese side Beijing Guoan, BBC Sport report.

Pochettino does have some good news though, as Erik Lamela has returned to training with the squad.

The Argentina international had been suffering with an illness last week and could feature for Tottenham on Tuesday.
