Tottenham Hotspur face off against Newcastle United in a Premier League encounter at the in North London on Sunday, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side surely going all-out to win the game in order to launch a title challenge this season.
There is good news for Spurs fans ahead of the game. Tottenham have a perfect opportunity to claim three points as they will be playing against a wounded Newcastle side who have experienced two Premier League defeats from their two games played so far.
Son Heung-min will be available for Spurs selection again, as reported by BBC Sport.
The South Korean was forced to miss the opening two Premier League games of this season due to suspension.
Tottenham star Dele Alli is also back in training with the Lilywhites and could potentially make an appearance from the bench. The only blow for Spurs is that they will be without Tanguy Ndombele, who suffered a thigh strain in training.
Spurs have dominated the Magpies during recent games played between the two teams as they have won the last four Premier League clashes between them.
Pochettino’s Tottenham side have also been in good form at home recently and have lost just one out of their previous 10 home games in the Premier League. This also included a 1-0 win against Newcastle in February.
On paper, Spurs should take the three points from this game as long as they get the basics right on the day.
However, you cannot afford to take any games lightly in the Premier League and Pochettino’s Tottenham side cannot afford to take anything for granted.
