Tottenham Hotspur are planning a medical for Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon in the coming days as they near a deal for the 19-year-old, according to Football Insider.
Spurs have been chasing the youngster for the majority of the transfer window, and the saga seems to be reaching a positive end for the Premier League outfit.
Talks between Sessegnon and his current club over a new contract have broken in recent weeks, as the teenager has made it clear that he wants to make a move to Tottenham.
Spurs are expected to cough up a fee of around £25m for the winger if they are to come to an agreement with relegated outfit Fulham, who are desperate to keep hold of their star asset.
Sessegnon has been linked with a number of moves away from Craven Cottage in the last 12 months, as he stock rose significantly when he helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League.
With Fulham now relegated to the Championship, the 19-year-old is keen on returning to the top flight and has identified Tottenham as his number one choice.
Last season, Sessegnon featured 38 times and scored two goals before being capped for England U21s in the European Championships this summer.
The Spurs target has a remarkable 120 appearances to his name already at the age of just 19, and the youngster still has room for improvement despite having plenty of first team experience.
Sessegnon would be a brilliant addition to the Tottenham squad, with Mauricio Pochettino being given funds to spend big during the transfer window unlike previous seasons.
With the sale of Kieran Trippier raising £20m and Danny Rose expected to be on his way out, Spurs have also been bringing cash in as well as spending it this month.
This means that Tottenham would not be put off by a £25m asking price for Sessegnon, and with reports of his medical being arranged supporters can finally begin to be excited about his arrival at the club.
