Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing Monaco winger Thomas Lemar to the Premier League this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The French media outlet claims Spurs are keen on the 21-year-old, who has had an impressive season for the Ligue 1 champions.
It has been reported Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring in an attacking player, with Lemar a seemingly fit for the White Hart Lane outfit.
The France international, who has been capped twice, helped Monaco to become winners of their top-flight division, whilst also achieving a Champions League semi-final, in which they lost to Juventus.
Having played 55 matches in an extremely busy campaign, Lemar managed to contribute significantly with 14 goals and creating a further 17 for his team-mates to convert.
Spurs will know all about the winger’s talents, as he displayed them against the Londoners in the group stages of the Champions League, in which he netted in both home and away ties.
Interest in Lemar is highly competitive, with a whole host of clubs wanting to secure the young star’s services.
Arsenal and Manchester City are set to rival Tottenham as a Premier League destination, whilst the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also ready to offer the winger an opportunity of European football as well.
It has been alleged that a transfer fee of around £25 million will be required to lure Lemar away from Monaco, which could be seen as a bargain for a player of his spectacular talent at such a young age.
