Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose is the best left-back in the Premier League, according to his former team-mate Andros Townsend.
The former Leeds United defender has had his ups and downs over the years at White Hart Lane but is one of the players that has improved most since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino in North London.

Rose is now the first choice in the defensive position for the Premier League club, while he has also featured prominently for England over recent months.
Townsend knows the full-back’s abilities well having come through the youth ranks in North London, with the pair playing in the same Spurs team and having their battles on the training park.
Rose got the better of the Crystal Palace winger when the sides met in the Premier League earlier this season and the England international has been speaking out about his former team-mate’s considerable talents.
“I enjoy my battles with him. He’s somebody I enjoy playing with because I enjoy testing myself against the best,” The London Evening Standard quote Townsend as saying.
“He’s a great defender. He gets up and down the pitch, gets you running the other way as well.
“One-v-one he’s a great tackler and the best left back in the league.”
Rose has Ben Davies for competition in the Tottenham back four, but the Englishman more often than not gets the nod to play in the Premier League.
