Tottenham Hotspur are one of four Premier League clubs to ‘register an interest’ in taking Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho on loan this season, according to talkSPORT.
The former Liverpool winger has found life tough going at Camp Nou and has Antoine Griezmann as additional competition for a starting berth at the Catalan club for the upcoming campaign.

Tottenham would present Coutinho with an exciting potential proposition for the 2019-20 season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men a club on the up.
Spurs already have a wealth of attacking midfield riches, with the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min in their ranks.
However, capturing Coutinho on a loan deal could well be the transfer to provide Tottenham with an x-factor and add depth to Pochettino’s squad.
Tottenham have shown ambition by landing Tanguy Ndombele this summer but the North London club’s supporters would like a marquee signing before the transfer window closes on Thursday evening.
While competition to land Coutinho is clearly fierce, Spurs should do everything in their power to get the Brazilian to North London – the creative South American is a proven matchwinner and would be a mouth-watering proposition in Pochettino’s attacking line-up.
