Tottenham Hotspur fans have been given two pieces of positive injury news on Monday, with The Guardian reporting that Toby Alderweireld’s knock is not as serious as first thought and Harry Kane is set to return to training.
The giant Belgian defender was hurt in the second half of Spurs’ 1-1 draw with West Brom at The Hawthorns at the weekend and was subsequently stretchered off with what looked like a serious knee injury.

However, the latest report suggests that Alderweireld is likely to be on the sidelines for weeks rather than months, which is a boost for the Premier League side.
Spurs were guilty of not converting gilt-edged chances in the first half against the Baggies, with Kane’s predatory instincts clearly being missed in the final third.
The England international has been on the sidelines for a number of weeks after picking up an ankle injury against Sunderland last month.
However, the report states that Kane is pushing towards returning to group training and is making progress in the right direction in his rehabilitation.
