Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a £30 million swoop for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
The Brazil international is thought to be unhappy with his lack of game-time under manager Carlo Ancelotti, starting just 13 of his side’s 29 Bundesliga matches, scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process.

After moving to Bavaria from Shakhtar Donetsk back in July 2015, the 26-year-old played a key role in his maiden season, making 43 appearances in all competitions, picking up Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal winner’s medals along the way.
However, since Pep Guardiola’s departure to Manchester City, Costa has found it difficult to edge past the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in the pecking order, with speculation over a potential summer exit increasing.
A couple of months ago, Costa revealed in an interview with German newspaper Bild that he could seek a move away from the Allianz Arena if his situation at the club did not improve.
”We got some strong offers from China and also from big clubs from Europe,” the Brazilian wide-man is quoted as saying.
“When the season is over, we will sit down and analyse everything. First of all, I am only focused on ending the season with all the titles I can win.”
Currently four points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League title race, Spurs are well on course to securing Champions League football for next season and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be determined to strengthen his squad as they look to progress beyond the group stage.
Meanwhile, last summer’s £30 million man Moussa Sissoko could be on his way out of White Hart Lane come the end of the season.
The Frenchman has flopped since moving to North London from Newcastle United late last August and it is reported that Pochettino will be looking to offload the 27-year-old midfielder once the summer transfer window opens.
