Tottenham Hotspur have had a transfer offer for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial rejected, according to French news source RMC Sport.
The North London side are in the market for new recruits, with a new option in the final third believed to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s priorities.

Spurs have Harry Kane as their main attacking weapon but lack a proven alternative to lead the line, with Vincent Janssen failing to impress after a move from AZ Alkamar 12 months ago.
Tottenham are also said to be keen to add more potency and pace in wide areas, as Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou have not had the desired impact in their first season in North London either.
The report suggests that United have wasted little time in turning down the offer from last season’s Premier League runners-up, with Jose Mourinho clearly rating the France international and having a role for him at Old Trafford this season.
With United bolstering their attacking ranks with the signature of Romelu Lukaku and being touted with wanting a new winger, it remains to be seen just how much football Martial will receive in 2017-18.
Tottenham are the only team in the Premier League yet to sign a new player this summer but consistency and the high standards demanded by Pochettino should ensure that Spurs are a challenger again this season.
The potential addition of Martial would surely be one to excite the North London faithful but for the time being it looks unclear where the former Monaco sensation will play his football in 2017-18.
