Tottenham Hotspur have made Burnley centre forward Andre Gray their number one summer transfer target, according to The Express.
The 25-year-old has taken to Premier League football well and has netted eight goals for Sean Dyche’s men this term in the English top flight.
Gray’s turn of pace and predatory nature have been key for the Turf Moor side in 2016-17, with a host of English sides reportedly interested in the striker as a result.
Tottenham have Harry Kane as their chief number nine but lack a proven deputy to last year’s Premier League Golden Boot winner.
Vincent Janssen was added to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad in the summer but the Netherlands international has struggled to adapt to life in English football as yet.
Gray would fit into the style of player that the Spurs boss usually opts for and could well be a shrewd acquisition if the North London team can convince their Premier League rivals to sell the centre forward.
