Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to conclude a deal for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko and are willing to pay £20 million for him, according to The Guardian.
The France international’s transfer fee has soared after he put in a number of impressive performances for his country at Euro 2016 over the course of the summer.
Sissoko was expected to be one of the first players to leave St James’ Park after the Tyneside club was relegated from the Premier League last season, but this is yet to happen.

The versatile midfielder is facing the possibility of Championship football if a late exit cannot be agreed, which will largely be down to Newcastle’s valuation of the star.
Talk that the North East club are holding out for a bigger fee has been doing the rounds over the last month, but it appears that a £20 million deal would suit all parties concerned.
just where Sissoko would fit in at White Hart Lane remains to be seen, with Mauricio Pochettino having a host of creative talent in the final third already.
