Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the last-ever North London derby to be played at White Hart Lane on Sunday in a one-sided affair.
A strike from Dele Alli after 55 minutes opened the scoring for Spurs before Harry Kane converted from the penalty spot just three minutes later.
The result leaves Tottenham still four points behind leaders Chelsea, who were impressive in their victory over Everton at Goodison Park in the early kick-off, and keeps the Premier League title race going for a little longer.
Without the need to mention how jubilant Spurs fans are at the victory over their arch-rivals, they took to social media to single out a particular individual for performing outstandingly throughout the match.
Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, who has been instrumental in the Lilywhites campaign this season, has played in 32 of the 34 Premier League games so far, scoring twice.
Although he did not bag a goal in the game, the White Hart Lane faithful praised the 25-year-old’s efforts on the pitch and how much of a role he had played in the victory by not allowing the Arsenal players any time on the ball.
Here are some of the best reactions of Wanyama’s performance on Twitter:
Wanyama had a good game today. Him and Dier were everywhere in midfield. Czech had a worldie. Could have been 4.

Wanyama more than just a "beast", MOTM today by a country mile. Game intelligence and composure.

What a signing wanyama has been. Kane and Alli getting the plaudits. But this guy has improved us dramatically. #COYS
