Tottenham Hotspur fans received a positive piece of news this morning to sweep away the Monday blues, with attacking starlet Dele Alli signing a new contract to keep him in North London until 2022.
The former MK Dons attacking midfielder has had a whirlwind 12 months since joining the White Hart Lane side.

Alli was an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side that finished third in the Premier League last season and contributed a number of important goals.
The 20-year-old went on to be named PFA Young Player of the Year and won the Goal of the Season award for his acrobatic volley against Crystal Palace.
Alli has since gone on to become a fully fledged England international and will be a critical player in Spurs’ hopes of finishing in the top four again this season.
Following the news of the young forward’s commitment to the North London club, Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to rejoice over the starlet’s new deal – here are the best tweets.
