Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb could complete a transfer to Schalke this weekend, report Sky Sports.
The Algerian has been on loan with the German side this season and will take his Bundesliga appearance tally to 20 matches if he features in the away fixture against Cologne on Sunday.

This would trigger a clause in the agreement with Spurs which allows Schalke to sign Bentaleb for a fee of £16 million.
The 22-year-old joined the North London side’s academy in 2012 and broke into the first-team picture during the 2013-14 campaign.
The following term was his most fruitful in a Tottenham shirt, as he made 25 league starts under new manager Mauricio Pochettino and scored his first and only goal for the club in a 4-0 League Cup triumph over Newcastle.
However, he rarely featured last season due in part to the emergence of Dele Alli and the decision to move Eric Dier from centre-half to a holding-midfield role.
This saw Bentaleb shipped out on loan to Schalke last summer where he has since rediscovered some of his best form, scoring five goals and weighing in with a further five assists in his 25 outings across all competitions.
