Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are interested in a summer deal for Hull City centre-half Harry Maguire, according to the Daily Star.

The Lilywhites may have a battle on their hands to acquire the defenders services, however, Southampton are also reportedly looking at the player who the Yorkshire side have allegedly valued at 15 million.

The 23-year-old joined the Tigers in July 2014 on a three-year contract but went on a one-month loan to Wigan Athletic in February 2015.

This season the Englishman has made 26 appearances, including playing in their 2-0 defeat of Liverpool and the 2-1 win over Manchester United in the League Cup, and these recent performances have started to catch the eye of several sides.

The centre-back is an attractive proposition to Mauricio Pochettino because Maguire is very versatile as he can play in either a back line formed of four or just three players.

The Spurs manager seems to be in the market for a defender after both first option defenders Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen have spent time out due to injury this campaign and the future of Kevin Wimmer is looking uncertain.

Everton are also believed to be in the transfer market for a new centre-half, with Ronald Koeman eager to add options at the back.

With Maguire attracting interest from some clubs in the top half of the table, its difficult to see him turning down a move away from the KCOM Stadium if the opportunity was there.
