Glasgow Rangers made it through to the final round of qualifying in the Europa League on Thursday night, and after their second leg against Danish outfit FC Midtjylland their fans were once again full of praise for a key man on the evening.

The Gers were heavy favourites to make it through to the next stage, having come away from Denmark with a 4-2 lead in the tie, but they were quick to point out that there was still a job to do at Ibrox.

The Glasgow giants took a massive step towards finishing the job when Alfredo Morelos gave Rangers the lead 15 minutes into the second leg, moving them 5-2 up on aggregate and seemingly cruising through to a clash with Legia Warsaw.

Any doubts that the Gers would progress through to the next round ended either side of half time, when a second on the evening from Sheyi Ojo put them in complete control, before the Colombian fired a third to finish the job off.

The Danish outfit bagged the final goal of the night, but that was merely a consolation as Rangers came through 3-1 in the second leg, progressing from the tie 7-3 on aggregate, avoiding an embarrassing night in the process.

It has been a fine start to the campaign for the Gers, they have dominated qualifying for the Europa League, and they are unbeaten domestically, with the goals from Morelos very much leading the way for them.

The controversial Colombian is already approaching double figures for the season, hot on the heels of bagging 30 times last term, and with plenty more to come it is understandable why the Rangers fans were lauding him on social media after the final whistle against the Danish outfit.
