Everton have had an impressive start to their Premier League season and currently lie in fifth place with 14 points out of a possible 21.

Despite this good start, some of the team are not quite performing up to the standard that Ronald Koeman needs them to if a realistic top-four challenge is to be put forward.

Most of their goals this season have come from Romelu Lukaku, but Everton need more of their players to back him up in the goal-scoring department.

Here are three players that need to find their feet to help Everton get that top four finish.

Yannick Bolasie

Many Toffees fans will have been excited when Bolasie swapped Crystal Palace for Everton in a summer transfer that cost the club £25million.

However, for that kind of money, you would expect a player to have made an impact almost immediately at a club.

The 27-year-old forward has made six appearances for Everton in the Premier League so far, but has not scored or assisted, which will have disappointed some fans.

In a total of 89 premier League appearances for Crystal Palace, the Congolese forward only scored nine goals.

However, he will have to improve that goal output drastically at Everton if he is going to be successful.

While it takes time for new players to settle in at new clubs, Koeman will rely on Bolasie to support Lukaku in terms of goals if they are to get that top four spot they will be aiming for.

Gerard Deulofeu

Gerard Delofeu joined The Toffees after it was clear he was surplus to requirements at Barcelona.

The 22-year-old had an impressive 2016 pre-season, scoring their opener against MK Dons and assisting Ross Barkley for their second goal.

However the versatile forward has not managed to carry this form into the start of the Premier League season.

The Spaniard has so far made five league appearances for Everton, with three of these coming from the bench.

Deulofeu has so far been quite poor on the ball and still needs to prove to Koeman that he deserves a place in Everton’s starting XI.

The Spanish forward is another player that the manger will hope to be able to turn to when Lukaku can’t seem to break the deadlock or needs a rest during the season.

Ramiro Funes Mori

Argentinean defender Ramiro Funes Mori has had an uncertain start to this Premier League campaign.

After his move from River Plate to Merseyside in 2015, the defender enjoyed a solid amount of playing time, starting 24 Premier League games for the Toffees and making a substitute appearance in four more.

The 25-year-old started Everton’s opening game against Tottenham Hotspur in which Koeman used three at the back.

However, when the manager opted to use a back four for their game against West Bromwich Albion, Mori wasn’t featured.

If the defender wants to hold down a first-team position this season he’s going to have to prove that he can adapt to playing in a three man or four-man defence.
