Glasgow Rangers managed to hold Villarreal to a goalless draw at Ibrox on Thursday night and fans were delighted with the performance of one of their men on social media.

Steven Gerrard’s side will now need to pick up a win against Rapid Vienna in order to progress to the next stage of the Europa League.

The Light Blues had to play the entire second half with ten men when Daniel Candeias was controversially sent off just before the half-time whistle.

However, the Ibrox outfit had Allan McGregor to thank for a share of the spoils as the goalkeeper produced a number of tremendous saves to keep their Europa League chances alive.

Although he won a number of the plaudits on Twitter for his display, a number of fans were pleased with the performance of one of their midfielders.

Ryan Jack had impressed many on the social network with his showing with many of them lauding the former Aberdeen midfielder with huge praise.

Supporters stated that he had been immense throughout the game, whilst others had said that he had been phenomenal for the Light Blues.

The 26-year-old has had his problems with injuries at times, however, he will now be looking to build on that performance and kick on further.
