Southampton are interested in signing FC Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep, according to reports in The Sun.
The 24-year-old refused a new contract earlier this year, forcing the French club to potential cash-in on the star in January rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.

Interest in Ntep is thought to be high, with a host of clubs including English heavyweights Arsenal and Liverpool currently monitoring the situation.
The France international has two caps for his country and is thought to be valued at around £10 million.
The player is no stranger to Saints manager Claude Puel, who managed domestic rivals Nice before moving to England this summer.
Ntep has a lot of potential, could be a fantastic player with the right coaching. Still only 24 & Claude knows him. Bring him in. #SaintsFC

With Sofiane Boufal already making the switch from France to the south coast, it makes sense that the 55-year-old manager would continue to exploit a market he knows so well.
Ntep is known to be a technical, fast-paced winger who can also operate comfortably in the striking berth.
Puel also sees the player as the perfect cover for Boufal while the Moroccan is away on African Cup of Nations duty in January.
The former Auxerre youngster has managed 16 goals in 59 appearances during his time with Rennes and would surely be a welcome addition for the St. Mary’s faithful.
