Crystal Palace were beaten 3-1 by Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium on Tuesday night and fans were not happy with the performance of one individual on social media.
The Eagles will have been looking to kick on with their Premier League season after their win against Burnley at the weekend.
However, the infamous M23 derby did not go in Palace’s way and they saw their away day end in a resounding defeat.
Brighton took the lead through former Eagles’ striker Glenn Murray from the penalty spot before Leon Balogun doubled their lead shortly after.
Florian Andone compounded Roy Hodgson’s misery on the night when he put the hosts 3-0 up before the half-time whistle.
Crystal Palace did score through Luka Milvojevic when he converted from the penalty spot in the final ten minutes, however, it was far too late for them to mount a challenge.
Fans on social media slammed the team for their performance and everyone was vocal in their opinion of one man on the night.
Supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with Hodgson and the tactics that the manager had decided to utilise.
Whether it was just an overreaction or not, they all seemed to be unanimous with their verdicts that the experienced boss needed to go.
Here are some of their reactions:

Genuinely the most embarrassing performance I’ve seen in a long time, all 11 players dreadful, we’ve genuinely stagnated are we truly need changes, this club will run better without Parish or Hodgson. Completely disrespectful.

Hodgson either has to go or completely change his ways. The way we play is unbelievably predictable, only way we score is a pen or lucky goal. Complete lack of game management and tactics. January is HUGE.

Hodgson is at fault for our poor season so far. And the board are at fault also. We've not had the right calibre of signings for the last 3 transfer windows. We have stood still. Not good enough #cpfc

We need to get rid of Hodgson before the Christmas period . We won’t survive another relegation dogfight. Something needs to be done and vite ! #CPFC 🔴🔵🦅
