Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of selling versatile star Eric Dier this summer, despite reports linking him with Manchester United, Sky Sports state.
The England international has been an important man for Mauricio Pochettino’s side over recent seasons and has the ability to play at the back or in the centre of midfield.
However, the summer signing of Victor Wanyama has meant that Dier is no longer guaranteed a starting berth at White Hart Lane when everyone is fit.
This, along with a dip in form from the former Sporting Lisbon enforcer, has led to question marks over his future with the North London club.
The report suggests that Spurs have no intention of letting Dier leave at the end of the season, even if United come forward with a £40 million offer for him.
The England international is in consideration for a role in the Tottenham side that will face London rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.
