Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reportedly informed his club that he wants to move to Manchester United this summer, according to a report published by The Mirror.
The 21-year-old established himself as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League during the past season as he went on to make 35 appearances for the Eagles.
Some believe that it is just a matter of time before the reported Man United target becomes a first-team regular within the England side.
Wan-Bissaka was a key player for Roy Hodgson’s Palace team, who will not want to lose him. However, the Londoners will have to put up a fight to keep the star at Selhurst Park and out of United’s grasp.
The report adds that United may have to pay as much as £60 million to get their man.
The Red Devils are set to undergo a squad overhaul this summer as they aim to build an improved team for next season, after finishing outside the top four in 2018-19 and struggling to challenge for any of the major trophies on offer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United side definitely need to add a new specialist right-back to the side as well as one or two quality defenders this summer.
The defence is one of the weaker areas of the side. United have often resorted to playing Ashley Young as a makeshift right-back during recent years due to their lack of depth in the position.
With Antonio Valencia leaving Old Trafford also, United must move for a new player in this position over the transfer window.
Wan Bissaka has the potential to become one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and Solskjaer must go all-out to make this deal happen.
