Galatasaray attacker Bruma has admitted that he spoke with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho over a possible move to Old Trafford ahead of the current season.
The former Real Sociedad winger has been in sublime form for the Turkish giants this season, scoring five goals in 13 Super Lig outings for the Istanbul-based outfit.
Bruma is being tipped to move to one of Europe’s top leagues in the near future, with United and Tottenham Hotspur both regularly linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
The Portuguese attacker is blessed with blistering speed and trickery, with potential for him to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo by signing for United.
Bruma has confessed that he was honoured to be contacted by Mourinho in the summer but that their negotiations suggested that a move to Old Trafford could be something for the future.
“It is very nice and great feeling to have an important official interested in me,” the attacker told Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
“I have to do great things with Galatasaray in order to open those doors. So he used the phrase “too early to think about it.”
Bruma continued by stating that he was happy at Galatasaray for the time being but would work hard to develop and see where it took him.
“It makes me proud,” he said.
“But I have a contract with Galatasaray and I am very happy to put on the shirt here. To make the fans happy and to do important things for Galatasaray is my current primary goal.”
