Tottenham Hotspur managed to keep their Champions League fate in their own hands with a 2-1 win against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night and fans were delighted with the performance of one man on social media.

The victory meant Spurs’ slim chances of qualifying for the next stage of the tournament were kept alive and will now look ahead to a home tie against Inter Milan, knowing a win will put them level on points with the Italians.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side did not make things easy for themselves though, as they went behind inside the first two minutes of the game.

Luuk de Jong, who had netted the late equaliser in the previous encounter, put the Eredivisie outfit in front.

However, Harry Kane hit a brace late on in the game to ensure Spurs took all three points and gave them an outside chance of reaching the next stage.

Fans were delighted with the result, especially with the England international’s last-minute winner, however, one of his compatriots appeared to take all the plaudits on social media after the game.

Supporters took to Twitter to laud Harry Winks for his performance in the midfield, with many believing he was their main man on the night.

The midfielder made a number of key passes in the game and played a key role in helping his side to get the three points on Tuesday night.

Fans were all in unison with their praise for Winks, stating that he was the best player on the pitch.
