Watford defender Pervis Estupinan is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur – but several European sides are also chasing the left-back, according to AS.
Estupinan is currently on loan at Spanish side Osasuna and his performances for the La Liga side has attracted interest from a number of clubs across the continent.
The defender has scored once and assisted five in 30 appearances this season for the Navarre-based side who sit comfortably in midtable in the Spanish top-flight.
According to the report, Barcelona, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have registered their interest but Spurs are determined to beat them all to land their man.
The Ecuador international joined Watford in 2016 from LDU Quito but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Hornets and currently on a two-year loan at Osasuna – which may cause complications in any transfer dealings.
Estupinan has been loaned out to Spanish clubs since arriving at Watford having two spells with Granada before time at both Almeria and Mallorca.
It is unclear whether the Vicarage Road side has a clause to cut the deal short but both clubs and the player would have to agree to end the loan for any transfer to go ahead.
Spurs are the lookout for a new left-back to give competition to Ben Davies as Danny Rose, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United, could be heading for the exit at the new White Hart Lane in the near future.
Jose Mourinho faces his former club when Tottenham resume the Premier League season on Friday night when they host Manchester United.
