Southampton are looking at Tottenham Hotspur flop Kevin Wimmer as Jose Fonte and Virgil van Dijk are expected to move on in January, according to a report by The Sun.
The Austrian defender has only made 12 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites since joining from German side Cologne in 2015 for £4.3 million.

Portuguese Euro 2016 winner Fonte is anticipated to move to Manchester United in the next transfer window after contract negotiations were opened in August but no agreement was reached.
The centre-back joined the South Coast side in 2010 for £1.2 million from Crystal Palace and has made over 250 appearances for them in the league.
Fellow defender Van Dijk, who moved to St Mary’s in 2015 from Celtic, is said to be of interest to Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has turned out 23 times for the Saints so far this season and has helped them to 8 clean sheets in all competitions.
The Dutch player signed a new six year contract in May this year, which means Southampton will demand a higher price for the highly rated centre-half.
