Aston Villa have seen a bid to sign Said Benrahma knocked back by Brentford, according to a report published by Sky Sports.
The Algerian international is an important member of the Bees first-team and they will not want to sell him this summer as they look to improve next season.
Reported Villa target Benrahma joined Brentford from French club Nice last summer and went on to make 14 appearances for the club during the first half of the season when it was managed by Villa boss Dean Smith.
Benrahma was largely impressive in the Championship in 2018-19, as he went on to make 45 appearances and scored 11 goals.
Villa are looking to get ready for next season as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. The Midlands side definitely need to bolster their side this summer if they want to survive relegation from the top-flight next term.
So far, Villa have managed to lure Jota from Birmingham City. They have also made the loan deal of Anwar El Ghazi permanent and he has signed a four-year deal with the club.
Benrahma Will surely be tempted to move to Villa as it could allow him the opportunity to play in the English top-flight.
The 23-year-old boasts two caps for the Algerian national team but is not part of the country’s squad which is due to play in the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations.
He definitely has the ability to make a useful addition to the Villa side and Smith must push to sign him this summer.
